Fujica super 6 - 6x6 medium format folding camera overview and film loading

The Fujica super 6 - folding camera is a great and overlooked 6x6 medium format camera. Pros: It is very compact even compared to a small 35mm rangefinder like the Canonet QL 19 (or 17). It really fits in a pocket. And it is lightweight (around 600 grams). The lens is a Fujinar 75mm 3.5 which is just sharp from corner to corner. The winding system is practical and has a counter, so there's no need of a red window on the back and a precision manual advancing. It has also a double exposure red dot prevention. Double exposure is still possible if the photographer wants it of course. It also has rangefinder patch in the viewfinder that is easy to see, for precise focusing. It is relatively inexpensive and widely available. The cons: Viewfinder is awfully small and has no framing lines. For precision framing it is better to use an external viewfinder on the flash hotshoe even though it is not easy to find a specific square one. In the video I am showing a zeiss for 35mm. Using the vertical lines of the 35mm framing and the horizontal lines of the 50 framing makes the trick. You may want to tape the exceeding lines if those fool you. It has no light meter. Not a great deal for a camera like this. I use a very compact sekonic with selenium cells. For black and white film it is just fine. Minimum focusing distance is around 1.1 meter, so not good for head and shoulder portaits unless you want to crop. Also the marked units on the barrel are in feet only. Almost all copies are in Japan, so you have to import them and pay additional custom taxes. And sorry for the blurred close ups!
