RARE! Montréal Métro train breakdown at McGill metro station with full action on video 🟢🚇

NOTE: I MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN A DAMAGED TIRE, BUT I AM NOT 100% CERTAIN. This is because this is what ‪@LiamQC‬ - the person who heard the chatter on the STM scanner feed - thought he heard. Also, it is based on the fact that other commuters here commented they heard a loud bang similar to a tire popping. Again, I am not sure 100% what happened. In the early evening of Monday, July 15, 2024, AZUR metro train Set 63 had an unknown mechanical problem involving it's wheels - or a nearby location of the train - at McGill metro station on the Green Line of the Montreal Metro. Thanks to fellow transit fan ‪@LiamQC‬ who notified me what was happening, I was able to arrive on time and film this amazing action. I've never filmed an actual train breakdown at the location where it happened before, so this was pretty historical. As you can see in the video, the train slowly left the station under very low power and, as mentioned by fellow transit fan ‪@MR-63‬, it was probably taken directly to the garage at the Youville Shops The train was on the Honoré-Beaugrand direction platform. Note that I did not witness the disruption, but I read on Twitter that some metro users heard a very loud bang near Guy Concordia metro station. This suggests that it was a blown tire, but as others have pointed out, this may not have been the case and it might have been another type of mechanical problem. Also, I mentioned it might have been going to the Duvernay spur, but in fact the Duvernay spur is in the opposite direction towards Angrignon, the same platform I was standing on. Normal metro service resumed not long after I wrapped up the video. This video was filmed on Monday, July 15, 2024 starting at approximately 6:44 pm Eastern Canadian Time. Remember you can see many more metro themed videos on my Montréal Métro playlist! Thank you so much for watching!
