Keep the soil evenly moist. -Place your African Violet in bright light, such as a grow light or bright window. -If using a grow light consider putting it on a timer so you can keep the light on consistently. -Use a nice draining soil that retains moisture. I used soil specifically mixed for African Violets, but you can mix our own using 1 part peat moss, 1 part garden soil, 1 part perlite or vermiculite.
