We made a custom low cost board and batten bed for my overgrown son!

My son has needed a bed upgrade for quite some time since he has outgrown his old one. The goal was to create the bedframe in a board and batten style with some low cost materials- primarily 1x3's and 1/8' luan plywood. The bed also needed some storage, so there are 3 oversized drawers built into the bottom of the bed.
