Jay Critch Interview | ‘Jugg Season,’ Talk Money, Rich Forever, NYC’s Impact, Rick Ross & More!

#OGM #JayCritch #OurGenerationMusic Although Brooklyn-bred rapper Jay Critch played a key role during the original SoundCloud wave, he repped a sound all his own. Running with era pioneers like Famous Dex and Rich The Kid, who made up the collective Rich Forever, Critch's true NYC essence paved the way for his unique position in the game. Whether it was working with longtime inspirations like Fabolous or admiring the business acumen of fellow New Yorker Jay-Z, Critch aspires to be on top, letting manifestation and positive affirmations guide him to further acclaim. "Your choice of words is important," he said. "There's no guarantees with anything, but you have to hype it up for yourself." Considered to be a mixed product of both NYC's historic roots in hip-hop and the OG SoundCloud era, Critch's latest efforts in founding his own label Talk Money, touring and his new album 'Jugg Season' all highlight the hustle for himself and others. "It's motivation music," he said. "Real talk, it's an energy booster." The album arrived in February 2023, as Critch detailed hopes of Rich Forever getting back together at one point. Amid Famous Dex's slow rise back into the public eye, he and Rich The Kid recently re-linked on "Still Movin'" with Fivio Foreign last month, as OGM host Hakeem Rowe dove deep into Critch's inspirations, upbringing in Brooklyn, Rich Forever, link-ups with Fabolous, Rick Ross and so much more in this OGM exclusive interview.
