After unboxing the Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra and getting some miles in on them I knew I had to try more of the offerings from Adidas. I needed a new shoe for the treadmill and so I took the opportunity to get both a road shoe in the Adizero Boston 12 and their other trail offering in the Terrex Agravic Speed. This time I knew to order at least half a size down since in my experience and the comments of many viewers have all said the sizing is too big. The Adizero Boston 12 is a long distance road trainer coming in at 9.4oz in a mens size 9. It has Continental Rubber on the outsole to protect the Lightstrike Pro Foam. Energy Rods run down the sole of the shoe to provide increased energy return. The upper is very lightweight and extremely comfortable as it is made of some very high-end feeling and looking material. The stack height is quite high at 38mm in the heel and 31mm in the forefoot for a 7mm drop, but ill take all the Lightstrike Pro Foam I can get and the drop feels perfect. The Terrex Agravic Speed is Adidas' "do it all" trail shoe coming in at 9.5oz in a size 9. It has the same Continental Rubber outsole and Lightstrike Pro Foam as it's Ultra brethren. Just no carbon plates or energy rods. The upper is very similar to the Ultra with a slightly more narrow toe box. The Terrex Agravic speed has a 35mm stack in the heel and 27mm in the forefoot for a 8mm drop. I continue to be impressed with Adidas footwear and am excited to test the trail shoes more thoroughly to see if they will be my hundred mile shoe for 2024.
