Sliding doors moment in Sainsbury’s Local Tooting Bec back in early May 2016. From Frankie’s perspective: I was getting on the tube after work, after Body Pump, when I bumped into Hannah (who also worked at Warren Street and lived in Tooting – we were moving in together the following week, along with our friend Livvy). We got back to Tooting Bec, and Hannah needed to pop in to Sainsbury’s. Since we were headed the same way and chatting etc, I went in with her, hovering near the door. I noticed she was chatting to a very handsome, smiley man at the self-checkout and waved politely from the door. On the walk home, I asked who he was (Hannah & I were both single and acutely aware of each other’s love lives / potential men on the scene and she hadn’t mentioned him). She said he was called James and had just started working with her. I said he seemed nice and didn’t think much more on it. The following day at work, Hannah messaged me on Skype for business saying that the guy from Sainsbury’s had asked for my number and could I give it to her. I did not play it cool at all and urged her to give it to him. He then didn’t text me for nearly a week! How did you choose your wedding venue(s)? We knew we wanted a venue where we could have both the ceremony and reception, and somewhere quintessentially English. Ardington House was a bit a of a wild card in terms of location as neither of us live in Oxfordshire, but as soon as we walked in the place, we knew it was the one! What sort of experience do you want your guests to have? Having lived in Sydney for 3 years, the pandemic etc etc, we want our guests to be able to catch up with people they may not have had the opportunity to see for some time, and have a great time! We have selected some great musicians, we can't wait for a boogie! Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme? No theme, but a classic English Spring wedding. Colour scheme is sage green, pale pink and cream so very soft and feminine. Lots of peonies! What was the hardest decision during the planning? The guestlist! We love so many of our guests but because we had to delay in the pandemic it meant being quite pragmatic with who was coming - we are delighted that we have been able to invite everyone in the end.
