Genuine Review: Ryobi 40V Kinetic Log Splitter

Can it take on a full day of splitting RED OAK? Ryobi's new 40V Kinetic Log Splitter in the hands of a regular home owner. Non-sponsored, independent review. Trying to give a heads up to those considering this machine. Let's get splittin'! (This is not an instructional video! Only you know your limits and abilities with power tools - I don't and am not qualified to recommend you do anything portrayed in this video. Always read the manuals for your tools and follow safety instructions.) *Addressing Oak Wilt* I wanted to clarify that the Northern Pin Oak that died from Oak Wilt featured in this video had been standing dead for over three years and will not be transported anywhere for another couple years, if at all. Any property owner with trees subjected to this terrible disease is ultra sensitive about its spread and I have no intent to spread it further. While the wood was wet as I said in the video, it is not green by any means and I am taking the precautions recommended by the Minnesota DNR and our county's natural resource conservation district to quell the spread of the fungus as best I can. A district representative has been out a couple times to educate myself and neighbors about how to slow the spread of Oak Wilt and I will continue to be vigilant against it. *Linden Logs Channel* I posted this video as practice for the primary reason we created this channel - to document for family, friends, and ourselves our experience refurbishing our family cabin. There may be an occasional review from time to time if I come across something spectacular like this log splitter, but that is not the focus of the channel. This video is rudimentary (and loooooong) to say the least, but as my father-in-law has coined: "Practice makes better!" Thanks for watching. More to come.
