Los Angeles County Fire Department Companies arrived on scene of the 5600 block of Alcoa Ave to find a two story commercial structure well involved with fire. The fire was located in 13's first due, Battalion 3 was known as Alcoa IC while Battalion 13 assumed operations. Firefighters used high flow portable monitors and ladder pipes to keep the fire contained to the unit of origin. The first alarm assignment was able to handle with an additional truck company, Quint 27, who was nearby investigating an outdoor fire. Knockdown was called 3 1/2 hours after time of dispatch. The building is an abandoned building. No injuries were reported. February 18th, 2020- Vernon, CA
