Time again for some Alan Menken. In the words of Depeche Mode: I just can't get enough. So what better Disney film to arrange than simply put: THE best one. In my opinion The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the very best Disney film on a tied number one with The Beauty and the Beast. This is much due to the great music, amazing villains (or whatever you want to call the beast) and an amazing swedish voice cast. Stefan Ljungqvist has done some incredible voice work for Disney such as Frollo and Ratcliffe and it is much due to him that I love the Frollo character. The Bells of Notre Dame is also quite unique amongst Disney films in that it really dares to explore dark and grim themes and I have to admit that this film was very scary when I was a little boy, and this is once again much due to the amazing Stefan Ljungqvist. So how did this arrangement really come about you wonder? Well I blame my lab partner Isak. When we're bored with monotonous cell culture work in the lab we do strange things, such as singing. Can you guess what he sang? Actually, you're wrong. He sang Hellfire from The Hunchback, which I will soon also upload an organ version of. On a final note: I just couldn't resist adding some carillon in parts of the song. You can't have a Hunchback without bells. On the very final note: I removed parts of the song. There's so much talking in it that the music actually becomes too repetitive when just having the background music from all the talking scenes. Enjoy! Arrangement by chenrikl.
