"Don't you trust your partner..." Moving on from my last Resident Evil Voice Actor Spotlight video, I wanted to showcase another phenomenal Jill Valentine VA, Patricia Ja Lee. While she technically first voiced Jill in 2007's The Umbrella Chronicles (which I do include) I mostly wanted to focus on her masterful portrayal in 2009's Resident Evil 5. The trauma, heartbreak and hopelessness she brings across in this game remains one of my favorite performances in the franchise. She is so damn good and will forever be upset that Jill's story and most likely PTSD post-RE5 has never been explored or followed up on to this day. Maybe they'll explore it in a potential game post-REmake 3 but if it's not Patricia and not Julia, the impact will not be there.
