Bob Shane & The Kingston Trio "The Dutchman" (DCAM Sessions) Director: Chip Miller

This rarely seen 2018 poignant and classically romantic song, "The Dutchman," was performed live, lip-synced at Desert C.A.M. Studios in Palm Desert, CA, by The Kingston Trio featuring legendary late Bob Shane (founder of the original Kingston Trio, with late Nick Reynolds, Dave Guard, and John Stewart). Here, Mr. Shane is accompanied by The Kingston Trio (2005-2017), George Grove, Bill Zorn, and Rick Dougherty. He occasionally joined Bill, George, and Rick, when they toured the country to sold-out audiences, so it was always a treat when Shane thrilled his fans, walking out on stage to perform classic Trio hits like "Tom Dooley," and "Scotch and Soda.," The George Grove era of The Trio ended in 2017 with their first Christmas concert special getting picked up by PBS and Public Television, and now set to be an annual holiday program. G,B & R actually played together longer than the original group, and released a new studio recording that featured Shane's last time in a studio. This performance was taped at Desert C.A.M. Studios stage in La Quinta. This footage was incorporated into a music video segment in the 2016-2019 PBS concert TV special, "The Kingston Trio Celebration", with celebrity artists who paid salute to the Trio, including Timothy B. Schmit, The Limeliters, Barry McGuire, Al Jardine, and the late Trini Lopez. Full concert and bonus footage now available on all major streaming platforms worldwide through MVD Distributors. Directed and Co-Produced by Chip Miller, Produced by Travis Miller. A Desert C.A.M. Studios Productions.
