"If it could" is a song written, composed and performed by d-t-b (Dave the Beaver, aka David Brandenberger). Read or listen to the lyrics first, because I don't want to spoil the surprise. The song has a surprise ending and I hope I misled you. It could be about a relationship with a woman, but... nah, not gonna say it. The structure of the lyrics was quickly found and the right words filled the verses. A chorus was added, but it was shortened to one run. Originally, I had a different melody in mind. When I plucked both E strings after tuning the guitar to check the sound, the first note was already there and the melody just flowed out. The lyrics fit well into the melody and I just added some jazz chords to spice it up. The song was recorded in my studio in Grindelwald, Switzerland. This piece of music is just a sketch of the song.
