You can use any rod, reel, and line capable of reeling in a 12 kilogram fish, but go with a #2 Swimbait for your lure. I typically use the Constant technique and reel at 3x speed. You can go for bigger lures, but a #2 Swimbait will only catch you Gold or Diamond Northern Pike in this location. Ideal time of day is typically 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., although I've caught Diamonds at all hours of the day in this spot. If you only want to catch Diamonds (No Golds), go with a 1/0 Swimbait.
