Recently, I had a chance to visit my uncle's village where I spent a few years during my childhood. In fact, even after leaving the village for further studies at Imphal, I used to go there during summer holidays and winter Christmas time. Located in the interior of Churachandpur district, M. Bongmol village falls under Singhat Constituency and is about 22km from Churachandpur town. The village was established by my uncle and my father after they shifted from Sita village in Tengnoupal district, post World War-II. This is a village where not much of development has taken place for decades, until recently. But the place is full of memories of my childhood days. Let's have a look at the village as of today.
