We FINALLY checked Mount Rushmore off our bucket list, but we were surprised to learn that it wasn't supposed to look like it does today! Did you know that the project was abruptly ended with only a fraction of it completed? The sad thing is, it will probably be that way forever. A few miles up the road stands another monument that towers over Mount Rushmore. The Crazy Horse Memorial isn't finished either, but thanks to the vision of the Lakota Tribe and it's passionate sculptor, future generations will hopefully get to see the finished product. We also checked out Bear Country U.S.A., a drive through zoo where Haley got to see a real life "BooBoo" up close, and I learned a few things about myself from the sculptors that help me get the most out of this Full Time RV journey we call Highway Therapy.
