Most of the farms I have visited already have a few detectorists that use their land but i've been advised to keep trying! I appreciate that some farmers are not keen on metal detectorists due to some being irresponsible and causing problems. I can assure you I am very responsible and I would be willing to meet with you to discuss further if you would like, so you can see what sort of person I am. I'm very new to detecting but my grandfather used to detect and I would like to follow in his footsteps.
