These guys wrote so many great tunes it's hard to pick a favorite, but this would have to be in the top 3. It was released on the "Homecoming" album in 1972, went to #8 on the charts and stayed on the charts for 12 weeks. Dewey Bunnell wrote the melody but Gerry Beckley came up with the signature lick that starts the song and really defines it through the entire song. Ventura Highway apparently doesn't even exist but he wrote it in reference to the Pacific Highway which leads to the town of Ventura. Hope you enjoy.
