Hello everyone, A quick video on how I set up my Diamondback terrapin hatchling enclosure! Also filter pad hack :) There is no UVB or dry basking area for these turtles! There is strong evidence that hatchling terrapins do not need UVB for their 1st year. The reason behind this is that as hatchlings in the wild they are constantly hiding in order to survive! No time for basking. No dry basking area is more of an experiment, there is strong evidence once again tying back to the no UVB reason and also their carapace (shell) grows much smoother vs drying out while basking. Do not worry if I see any major health concerns regarding no UVB and dry basking area. I will change it immediately. Thank for you watching and your support!
