Soap Commander is a Family operation (mother and children) that has been around since about 2014 and produces vegetal based soaps, balms and splashes, with a good range of scents. The shaving soaps come in 6oz (170g) jars that retail for US$17.50, which is US$2.92 per oz, “Exceptional” value in my Bang-for-Buck guide. The Memories scent is described as: “Warm, comforting tones of saffron, cedar, vetiver, and sandalwood form a steady foundation for the bright touches of orange, balanced by the mellow character of red tea, pink pepper, and a fusion of Oriental spices. A robust conglomeration of aromas and reminiscings.” Also featured is my new Karve Aluminium “The OverLander” for it’s first shave. I easily generated a lovely rich, slick, dense, shiny lather from my half teaspoon (3.5g) scoop of soap. The lather scent I get is an exotic fusion of spices and wood that is mellowed a bit by other notes, sort of reminds me a bit of Old Spice, solid lather scent strength 7/10.
