Afterward, I made a quick stop at the supermarket to grab a drink before embarking on a mountain adventure to visit the abandoned Olympic bobsled track. But when I reached the cable car, it was out of service, and although a man offered to take me up, I refused because he wasn’t an official taxi driver. Next, I walked into the heart of Sarajevo Bosnia and began my search for a Bosnia national football shirt. Unfortunately, the prices were too high, so I explored Pigeon Square and admired the bustling atmosphere of the city center. As a Muslim traveler, I went to pray at a mosque, but to my surprise, the man outside was hesitant to let me in. After some persistence, he finally understood I was Muslim and allowed me to enter. While wandering around the city, I stumbled upon an Islamic shop and bought some gifts for my wife. Not wanting to miss out on the abandoned Olympic bobsled track, I found a taxi willing to take me into the mountains just before sunset. The sight of the track was surreal—it’s amazing to see how such an iconic structure has become completely abandoned and overtaken by nature. Walking down from the mountain, I was blown away by the stunning views. The sunset over Sarajevo’s mountains was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever experienced. As I descended, I discovered small houses tucked away in the mountains and was fascinated by the lifestyle of the locals living there. At the base of the mountain, I treated myself to a delicious kebab from a local spot and made my way back to my apartment, reflecting on the day’s incredible experiences.
