Traditions & culture are the true essence of a community's authenticity. ✨ Gowri Tritiya, also known as Vayana Pooja, is a unique and cherished tradition observed by married women in the GSB community on the 3rd day of the Bhadrapada month according to the Hindu calendar. It’s considered a holy and auspicious occasion for married ladies or ‘Savashini / Sumangalis ! This sacred ritual is passed down through generations, practiced only in certain families across Karnataka, Goa, and parts of Kerala and Maharashtra. In this ritual, coconuts symbolise as Gowri Devi, embodying the divine blessings of the goddess. For those who do not have this as part of their family tradition, receiving the Vayana is considered a profound blessing. At ABARAN, we are dedicated to ensuring that these traditions are preserved and passed on to future generations, celebrated just as they have been for thousands of years. ✨ This video is our humble effort to connect the younger generation with our rich rituals and traditions, ensuring that no matter where in the world they may be, these cultural roots remain alive and strong.
