Nino Schembri quickly made a name for himself as the king of the omoplata, a game he developed making better use of his highly flexible and offensive guard game, being also one of the first grapplers recorded using the ‘lasso guard’ and the ‘rubber guard’. He is considered by many (BJJ Heroes included) as one of the best guard players to have ever competed in the sport. Eduardo “Jamelão” da Conceição is a historical Jiu Jitsu black belt under Romero Cavalcanti.
