Short Stool Build

For my first ever woodworking video I've decided to build a short, squatty strong stool out of pine. I start with a rough cut 2"x7" board and chop wood away until stool parts come out. Then I put them all together with glue. It has compound angled legs, tenons into the seat top, and half lap joints on the legs. Since I've been getting questions about what I did with the mistake, I thought I'd put a little blurb in the comments here. I definitely should've mentioned something in the video, but I didn't. I just left the mistake there. I don't think it compromises the strength or integrity of the stool. Also it's shop furniture and isn't meant to be terribly beautiful or perfect.
