My Samsung TV Apps Disappeared!

My Samsung TV apps disappeared! I'm assuming you didn't delete them all. That would let me delete one app, like Netflix or Hulu, not all of them. My first suggestion is to turn off the TV and turn it back on, in case an update to the firmware made them disappear except the default ones. TVs rarely ever update firmware. If your TV lost the internet connection, you often won't see any apps at all. I can access the internet via other devices, so this isn't because I forgot to pay the phone bill. You still may need to make sure the TV has an internet connection via wifi or switch to a cable connection. Next you'll be telling me to unplug it all. You can try unplugging it from the wall, waiting five minutes and plugging it back in to hard reboot it. That's sometimes necessary after a firmware update. I could try accessing the Samsung website and see if it lists new firmware for the TV; if not, it hasn't updated firmware. And if you can access the internet via the browser in the TV but not the apps, that means the TV's internet access isn't the issue. I haven't tried browsing the web on the TV. Back in 2013, Samsung had a server problem that caused the apps to disappear from everyone's systems for a while. I bought my TV after that point, so I can't see how that's relevant. Samsung could have server issues today. And after issues like that, the apps reappear after a couple of hub updates. I can't make them reboot their servers. You can power cycle your own router, in case it is a connection issue on your network. I've heard of factory resets fixing this problem. That only works if the latest update of the TV's software screwed stuff up or the TV's firmware got hosed. I've heard that updates to the Smart TV kill apps. If an update for Samsung smart hub causes you to get server errors when the app tries to start up, the issue could be that the TV isn't compatible with the app. The apps all worked before. Then the update to the Smart TV could cause the apps not to work, and you may need to uninstall and re-install the apps. How do I do that, assuming I can get to that point? Open smart hub, go to the apps panel, Samsung apps, menu, purchased. Pick the app to install, select accept and download, and install it. I may have to do that just to get the apps back. You can still do a smart hub reset to try to fix things. Go to menu, smart features, smart hub reset, enter your PIN, smart hub, select smart hub, start, confirm settings, next. That's where you can see the network status. If that screen says you aren't connected to the network, that's where you can pick a different network. Or re-add the one it can't see. Once you see the network, click next, agree to terms and conditions and privacy, confirm TV configuration, enter your zip code, pick the service provider and set up the set top box if you have one. So that's how you reset the TV. And if there are particular apps you don't see at that point, you should be able to go back and download them individually.
