Dr. Shashank Maktedar is a rare musician who carries forward the true essence of Hindustani music with utmost dedication and great mastery over the art form. The many awards he has collected and enormous popularity he enjoys among music fans - stands testimony to this commitment. During early days he practised under the guidance of Pt. Nath Neralkar in Aurangabad. Later on, he trained under Pt. Ulhas Kashalka in the traditional guru-shishya parampara. Dr. Shashank frequently tours to many other countries like US, UK, Europe & Middle-east, apart from having a packed calendar with performances across India. Shri Gurumurthy Vaidya & Shri Madhusoodan u Bhat, two of the most accomplished artists from Bangalore accompany Dr. Shashank on Tabla and Harmonium. Together, they created magic and kept the audience mesmerised through out the concert. Our Special thanks Shri Gurumurthy Vaidya for arranging this event and also to the many fans who had come for concert. The concert is recorded with some of the finest recording equipment used for Hindustani classical music.
