How to Deworm Finicky Cats with Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth

How to get a finicky cat to take diatomaceous earth for deworming is a question I get all the time! Food grade diatomaceous earth is an excellent dewormer for cats, but a heaping tsp for an adult cat leaves their food tasting a bit chalky. Over the past 15 years, a huge customer base and the cats my friends and family have, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks to get finicky cats to consume their daily dose of DE. Some of the best cover-ups are Sardines Organic Greek yogurt Goat milk You can feed a smaller dose such as 1/4 to 1/2 tsp for a few days and then up the dose as they get familiar with the food grade diatomaceous, once you can give the full dose, I’d start the 7 day regimen. Last resort trick, hold off one feeding, skip breakfast and feed a dose of DE with the dinner meal! Most finicky cats will eat if they are hungry! If your cat has trouble eating a lot at one time and prefers 3 to 4 meals a day you can divide the suggested dose of 1 heaping tsp for an adult cat to 1/4+or 1/3 and add to each smaller feeding. This trick can work for finicky cats too! Remember any 100% pure food grade diatomaceous earth can be used to deworm your cats! I do make and sell a blend with added immune support supplements.
