Late in the morning we head to downtown Erlengrat because today is a big day. After many strenuous months, we can finally repay €300,000 of the €650,000 loan from the FSQ Bank. Then we have to hurry, because we are urgently expected at our vineyard. A HAY & FORAGE machine demonstration with some representatives of the brands Brielmaier, Rigitrac, Reform and Reiter will take place here today at short notice. All machines are developed for grass harvesting and other work on steep slopes. While the representatives and an engineer watch, we present a Reform Metrac H75, a Rigitrac SKH60, a Brielmaier 29 EFI, a Reform Mounty 100V and a Reform Muli T8X. After a successful machine demonstration, we immediately head back to the farm because we still have to go out to our field today. On the farm we prepare our Fendt 716 Vario with our Nordsten HK25 + NS3030 sowing combination. In order to combine several work steps, we also purchase a Rabe front cultivator from the local dealer for €2,100. We will spend the afternoon sowing feed canola on our harvested field in the valley.
