With the release of our 3M PELTOR ComTac VI headsets, we’ve incorporated existing technologies with the addition of new, game-changing and ground-breaking technology. These are really going to change the way that the dismounted operator will be able to operate. Not only in quiet, dismounted operations, but certainly within noise. One of those technologies is called Natural Interaction Behavior (NIB) Function. The primary goal of NIB is to allow the dismounted operator to maintain a face-to-face communication without tying up the tactical radio in high levels of noise, such as in the back of black hawk or inside a tactical vehicle. This headset also features an improved situational listening capability known as selectable Mission Audio Profiles (MAP). This allows you to not only change the loudness of the environment that you’re listening in, but you can also alter the frequency response so that you can better focus on the things you’re wanting to listen to. All of this with improved sound localization.
