Miniature DIY Yo-Yo rosette pillow & quilt blanket projects using fabric for display in dollhouses

Welcome to the video! This is a DIY project making miniature fabric Yo-Yo rosette pieces for decoration on quilt blankets or pillows. My inspiration is from the 1920-1940 era with many fabric designs & color for the quilts. The video shows two ways to make the circle-shaped fabric Yo-Yo pieces that are hand sewn. A rectangular ribbon method and a circle pouch method are shown in the video. A 5/8” fabric circle is used to make the 5/16” Yo-Yo rosette. The pillow could have nine or more pieces depending on the size, sixteen rosettes are used in video. And the quilt blankets could have more than five hundred, also depending on the bed size, two hundred and twenty-one rosettes (5 3/4 x 4 1/2” quilt top) are used in video to cover a 1:12 scale twin (6 1/2 x 3 1/4”) bed. The time to make each piece from shape tracing, cutting, glue hemming (with dry time), sewing, pulling to pouch, flattening, knot tying, touch-up shaping & glue to secure thread is ten to fifteen minutes for me. The steps can be modified to make larger or smaller sizes. This one is compatible for the 1:12 scale. I tried to make smaller rosettes by cutting tiny fabric circles then lightly saturated in a water glue mixture and shaped with small end of ball stylus instead of sewing.
