Episode 4 - Lets go fishing, Keté River revisited

2 years ago, I tried to go back fishing where I used to go with my father all my life before he passed, the Keté River. Im sure its not the official name buts thats how we called it. I decided to go back again last summer. Main reason is I had not found the exact spot where we used to go. But after checking gps coordinates from an old jpg photo I had taken on site, I was ready to go and see if I would be able to get there. Armed with Gaia GPS, my fishing gear and hiking kit, I went as far as the Jeep would let me before having to continue on foot. What a hike it was, during a beautiful hot sunny day late in the summer of 2022. That river is quite difficult to get close to because of the thick forest and by the numerous swampy mud holes that would swallow you whole if you're not careful where you're walking. No joke! But I did found the exact spot and tried to fish for awhile even though I was quite exhausted because the heat and difficult hike. I wasnt lucky this time and havent caught anything worthy of being eaten :) I think my baits werent very good for this. Maybe next time dad!
