#CremeCaramel #CaramelPudding #EgglessDesserts #NoOven #SummerDessert Crème Caramel is the perfect summer dessert. The effort you put is just 10 mins and you have a restaurant style dessert. Ingredients- 1/4- 1/3 cup sugar, for caramelization 1 cup full fat milk 1/4 cup sugar 2 1/2 tbsp custard powder 2-3 tbsp fresh cream, optional For garnish- Diced mangoes Blueberries Mint leaves Method- To start with, caramelize the sugar on a low flame. Do not stir until it is 70% done. Then, Mix well and remove from flame once it turns amber. A darker caramel will turn bitter in taste. Alongside, grease the mould with a neutral flavoured oil Once the caramel is done, add in a small portion and spread a thin layer at the bottom of the mould. Set aside to cool. Now, add milk and sugar and custard powder in a saucepan. Mix them all together with a whisk. Place on low flame and keep whisking for around 30 seconds to ensure no lumps are formed. Then, keep stirring constantly with a spatula until the mixture starts thickening. Remove quickly within a minute, add in the cream and Mix very well. Pour into the moulds lined with caramel. Do not fill upto the brim. Alongside, heat a saucepan or a flat bottomed vesel with around 1 1/2 cm water and place a stand. Cover the moulds with foil and place the pudding them onto the stand. Cover and cook for 25 mins on a medium flame. Turn off the flame and wait for 5 mins. After 5 mins, remove the lid and the pudding. Allow them to come to room temperature and then refrigerate for atleast 2 hrs. Best is to keep it overnight. Remove, unmould, garnish and enjoy!!!
