There we go, guy-- Uhh, it's too repetitive. Nvm that tho - we got it, guys! White Names Spoiled Past - 2 Miss No Bomb. That was a very close run. If not for hitting one damn petal, you'd freely call it a meme run. Like, what could be worse than ramming into opponent? :v ---------- 東方白塵記 ～ White Names Spoiled Past is yet another Touhou fangame, from creators of The Last Comer and Mystical Power Plant. Involves several fan-made characters made by NRT as hypothetical versions of unknown figures from official games of the Touhou Project. For example, Sasha Sashiromiya who's based on the unknown figure from Touhou Hisoutensoku. Unlike the regular Touhou games, White Names incorporates mystery-solving elements in addition to danmaku. This factors into both the story, which contains hints as to the identity of the culprit, and the game system itself, which requires a good deal of thought in order to be used effectively. Despite the danmaku and the mystery going hand-in-hand, however, the game should ideally still be enjoyable to anyone who only likes one or the other. Until it comes time for the Extra Stage, anyway... Mechanics of the game involves getting purple-ish point items (Boukyaku) and filling a so-called Boukyaku Gauge. This gauge determines the awarding of bomb and life fragments. The gauge fills every 100 items, and awards life fragments on every fourth fill and bomb fragments otherwise. In addition, items will be released that increase point item value. If the player has 3 bombs in stock (the maximum), the gauge will only fill up to 99, but will not release any items. This should therefore be avoided if possible. - Making a no-bomb run makes it impossible to obtain lives by that method. The only way to get lives then is by shooting down certain enemies during stages (midbosses, big fairy at Stage 3). Just because of that mechanism, making LNB of that game is quite insane. You can have three lives at most. Yet from that point, getting LNN is very close to happen. I'll leave WNSP aside for a while, then maybe I'd go for it. For now, other games await clearing.
