I constantly had to have this conversation with patients. Just because you have an injury does not mean there aren't other things you can do to still stay active and get a good workout. In fact, if you are staying active, getting your blood pumping, and getting your brain and nervous system going, it will help with the recovery process. This video is an example of a great workout if you have an injury where you can only put little to no weight on your foot. This workout includes a lower body and core circuit.
