The East-West Metro Tunnel stretches 10.8 kilometers and features a 520-meter under-river section, which takes approximately 45 seconds to cross. Located 26 meters below the river's surface, trains operate 16 meters beneath the riverbed. The metro line connects Howrah and Salt Lake, with six stations, including three underground.
