Britains Toy Soldiers Collection Part 1

Lots of close-ups of Britains Ltd. figures from the prewar and 1946-66 eras. The first frame is a photo of a Britains Ltd. advertising card and the last frame is a photo of the cover of Britains' 1917 catalog(facsimile) which proudly exclaims: "When Buying Britains Soldiers, See That They Are Britains". Note: The lead hollow-cast figures that Britains Ltd. produced from 1893 to 1966 were meant to be toys for children(and because they were made of lead, Britains Ltd. shifted to using safer plastic or other metals after 1966). Although the company attempted accuracy as far as uniform colors and details, etc., their figures were not the "military models" or "military miniatures" that adults collect-which are much more realistic starting with their flat or matte paintwork(as opposed to Britains' glossy paint).
