John Smeaton is vice-president of the International Right to Life Federation and chairman of Voice of the Family, an international Catholic initiative to defend and promote Catholic teaching on the family. He was chief executive of the UK’s Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) from 1996 until 2021 and SPUC general secretary from 1978 until 1996.
