In the morning, she and Prince Philip went to the Ecole Nationale d''Equestre (National Equestrian School) where horsemen of the elite Cadre Noir dressage team performed intricate manouevre on horseback. Also watching the show were British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, President Jacques Chirac''s wife Bernadette, and French Sports Minister Jean-Francois Lamour. Later the Queen delighted crowds by going for a walkabout on the Rue Montorgueil, accompanied by Paris mayor Bertrand Delanoe. Well wishers called out ''Vive la Reine'' (''long live the Queen'') and some waved British flags. The Queen was presented with a special painted Easter egg by a chocolatier who had made it in her honour, and a huge bunch of flowers from a nearby flower stall. Later she visited the nearby church of Saint Eustache, where she met the Archbishop of Paris Jean-Marie Lustiger, and watched an organ recital. She then visited the City Hall. The Queen''s three day trip marks a century of cooperation between the two nations, and coincides with the centennial of the Entente Cordiale, a colonial-era agreement that ended centuries of warring and hostility between France and Britain and paved the way for cooperation during two World Wars. Queen Elizabeth, who speaks French, has made three other state visits to France and many other private or official trips here. When she and Prince Philip first travelled abroad together after their 1947 wedding, the destination was Paris.
