In this video (part 3) Hugo and Collins demonstrate the straight leg dead lift and good mornings exercise which are both great exercises for runners to incorporate into strength training routines. These exercises helps to strengthen the glutes and hamstrings in a way that enable us to produce more force during the ground contact phase of the gait cycle. By adding some weight we can make the exercise more challenging and by increasing the amount of weight we use as time goes on we can make the exercise progressive.
