Cycle the Southern Hunua Traverse Route

Join Janet and Arlene riding along the Hunua Traverse, Hunua Regional Park, Auckland, New Zealand Our route started in Upper Mangatawhiri Campsite, cycling up the monster Mangatangi Hill to the Mangatangi Reservoir and out to the Shorebird Coast, returning the same way. Its got some wicked elevation over a short distance of approx 44km with 1000m climbing. The Northern and Southern ends are currently not connected in the middle due to a slip. This will be fixed at some stage. The Hunua Traverse is a collection of gravel roads. Check out the current options on their website https://www.hunuatraverse.co.nz
