Age is more than just a number – the impact of lifestyle on cellular aging

As we grow older, we experience two types of aging: chronological and cellular or biological. While chronological aging counts the number of years we’ve lived, biological aging reveals a deeper story of our cells and how they are aging. But what influences this cellular aging? The differences in how people age at the cellular level raise important questions about factors influencing these variations. Is it our genetics, our lifestyle, or perhaps a mix of both? Join us for an in-depth exploration into the science of healthy aging at our Live event on June 13th: “Age is more than just a number – the impact of lifestyle on cellular aging”. The speakers of the session will discuss understanding and assessing biological age, factors that can influence it, and how to interpret these metrics. Meet the experts: Dr. Waylon J. Hastings, Behavioral and Neurodevelopmental Genetics Laboratory, Tulane University School of Medicine. Consultant of Bayer, the maker of One A Day multivitamin and supplement products. Dr. Emily Ho, Linus Pauling Institute, Oregon State University. Bayer and One A Day have pledged to establish the Bayer Global Health Fund of the Linus Pauling Institute, which will be used to support the research, education, and outreach activities of the Linus Pauling Institute of the Oregon State University that concern human health, healthy aging and nutrition. Neither the Linus Pauling Institute nor Oregon State University endorses, supports, authorizes, or sponsors any product or service of Bayer. Moderated by Christian Behrens, Consumer Health division of Bayer Mark your calendar: • Date: Thursday, June 13th • Time: 10 AM ET // 4 PM CET
