Searching for the true Italian landscape | Bruno D'Amicis | TEDxNovara

If images speak a universal language, can photography bring us closer to Nature? Italian conservationist and professional wildlife photographer, Bruno D’Amicis, speaks about his personal development as a visual storyteller exploring the power of photography to convey a positive message. With the multimedia project, “L’Altro Versante”, Bruno together with his colleagues aim at showing the world Italy’s last wild places and raise awareness about their conservation. Biologist and professional nature photographer since 2004. He often travels and works abroad, but he always returns to his first love: the Abruzzi Apennines. His images have been published and exhibited worldwide, and have earned him several awards at major competitions, including the World Press Photo and the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Author of four books, of which the most recent is "Time of Wolves.” Among his many ongoing projects, “L’Altro Versante”, a collective multimedia project documenting the most pristine and spectacular Italian landscapes.
