Our continuing search for the best Fish & Chips in Porthcawl? We’ll be trying all our local chip shops and this time it was the turn of Beales Fish & Chips on the Eastern Promenade, Porthcawl. We are ordering the same in each chip shop - cod, chips and a curry sauce. Beales fish and chips was established in 1937 and is now run by the 3rd generation of the Beales family. You can Beales opposite Griffin Park about 100 yards from Coney Beach. We ate our fish and chips (outside, the proper way) sitting in Griffin Park in the snow. Also, under normal circumstances, they have a fish & chip restaurant next door which is licensed so you can enjoy a drink with your chips. Just a reminder, these are our opinions and we pay for all food ourselves. We are not associated with any of the chip shops.
