Travel Day to Walt Disney World May 2019 | London to Orlando | Flying Premium | Clubrooms Lounge

Welcome to travel day! In May 2019 we spent 6 nights at Walt Disney World, flying from London Gatwick [LGW] to Orlando MCO! We stopped by the No.1 Lounge clubrooms at Gatwick airport for breakfast before flying with Thomas Cook Airlines in their Premium Cabin! Some people get the Gatwick Express - but we got the regular train from London Bridge. It was way cheaper and, like the Gatwick Express, only takes half an hour! But when we arrive, Gatwick is super busy. Luckily we clear bag drop and Security quickly and then it’s time to head for the lounge. On this trip we use the No1 Lounge Clubrooms. It’s a bit more expensive than the regular No1 Lounge, however there is a better option on free food and drink, and they don’t allow children, so we were expecting it to be quieter - and our swearing wouldn’t be heard by young ears. Booking the lounge also gives you free Premium Security access too - and the lines were shorter than those for regular Security. Our breakfast was lovely - despite the addition of a pack of butter with the dairy free option! After a security search at the Gate we finally get on the plane. If you find that you get four S’s printed on your boarding card, and have trouble checking in online it means that you have been randomly selected for a security check at the gate! So enjoy! On this trip we fly Thomas Cook Premium Class. We need bigger chairs for our bigger frame - however, the downside is the table isn’t designed for anyone with larger thighs or bellies! It really does make eating your food a challenge. It also contributed to the small whisky and coke based accident that we had on the plane! The vegan meal option wasn’t half bad. Main meal was a biryani. However the ‘afternoon tea’ was a banana, and a carrot, coriander and humous roll. The regular main meal was a Somerset chicken - and very tasty it was too! When we land at MCO we have our interview at immigration for our Global Entry application. We don’t talk about it too much in this episode, but it’s the system that you apply for in advance that allows you to by-pass the standard US immigration line and instead use the automatic machines when you arrive at US airports. You do have to pay for it but it lasts for 5 years - so we are hoping to take advantage of it on all future trips! Feel free to ask us any questions about it in the comments below. This trip we rented out car through AVIS. We were expecting, as an AVIS subscriber, to use their app to select our car and by-pass the AVIS counter in the airport. Sadly that wasn’t the case and we had to stand in a really sweaty line! Once we hot the road it’s a short drive to the Ramada Gateway Kissimmee that we have stayed at before and that we love. We have a review from our first stay that can be found here:    • Hotel and Room Tour: Ramada Gateway K...   We get a room on the same floor as we stayed last time. This time we get a Disney Parks view. We can see Pandora, Everest, The Tree of Life, Swan and Dolphin, Spaceship Earth, Hollywood Tower of Terror from our room. It turned out to be a great room and we are already booked to return again on a future trip. As with all of our travel days we need to head to a park. This time is no exception: it’s time to head to The Magic Kingdom! There’s a lovely sunset as we take the monorail ‘home’. We’re hungry, so the plan is to head to our first Fastpass on Peter Pan’s Flight. Whilst in the line we see Chris and Shari from Nibbles and Bubbles. If you’ve not seen their channel you should. We are huge fans. Not only have they been very supportive of our vlogs, they are such lovely folk and they have some great Disney vlogs. Many of our dining decisions have been based on watching Chris and Shari’s vlogs and where they’ve eaten.Their link is below with our contact details. Sadly we chat too much and film too little with them! We do catch Happily Ever After - and there are tears! Our first Fastpass is for Big Thunder Mountain - our favourite Magic Kingdom ride - however as it’s nighttime so you’ll have to wait to see us ride BTM in the next vlog, where we return to Magic Kingdom. Until then there is an extended preview of episode 2 at the end. And, even if we do say so ourselves, it is a really great episode! #disneytravelday #travelday #thomascookpremium Our Social Media: Instagram:   / mrdavidmrian   Twitter:   / mrdavidmrian   Facebook Page:   / mrdavidmrian   Our previous series: Walt Disney World Summer 2018    • Ep1 | WDW 2018 | Travel Day | The Blo...   Walt Disney World Christmas 2018    • WDW Christmas 2018 | Ep 1 | Travel Da...   Disneyland Paris October 2018    • Disneyland Paris October 2018 | Ep 1 ...   Disneyland Paris February 2019    • Disneyland Paris 2019 | Ep 1 | Travel...   Music in this episode comes from: "Plaidness" by Francis Preve "Sunspots" by Jeremy Blake "Ice Cream" by Joey Pecoraro Shari and Chris from Nibbles and Bubbles:    / @nibblesandbubbles
