There is no need to take apart the existing strut assembly or compress the coil spring. Follow along as a Monroe Quick-Strut is installed on a 2005 Mercury Montego FWD. Keep the following in mind to ensure a successful installation: 1. Disconnect the ball joint 2. Avoid angular load 3. Secure the upper mounting nuts last Designed for the 2005-2007 Ford Five Hundred FWD and 2005-2007 Mercury Montego FWD, select Monroe part number 172614 for the front left strut and 172615 for the front right strut.
