BIOGRAPHY =========== Rodney Cromwell fuses a European synthpop sensibility with a world of magical realism; incorporating elements of synthpop, post-punk, indiepop, psychedelia, post-disco and hauntology to create futuristic, emotive, uplifting and melodic soundscapes. With live collaborators that have included Richard Salt, Martin J Langthorne and Alice Hubley, they interweave vocals, vintage synths, guitar, bass, melodica and stylophone, sequenced to original video projections, interjected with Cromwell’s ‘offbeat wit’ (NME) to create a rich, original and enveloping sonic realm. Rodney Cromwell has been featured by numerous publications including Electronic Sound, Huffington Post, NME, Paste, Shindig!, Louder Than War, The Big Takeover, Magic RPM and the Bandcamp homepage. He’s had national radio play in Japan, Finland, Germany and multiple spins on RTE in Ireland, on BBC 6 Music in the UK and RNE3 in Spain for whom he recorded a live session. He has shared stages with acts including A Flock of Seagulls, Pram, Death & Vanilla, Rowetta, Gemma Cullingford, M!R!M, Steve Davis and Damo Suzuki. In 2022 he recorded a live session for Electronic Sound and toured with Blancmange. In summer 2023 completed his debut UK headline tour and will be releasing a new single 'Exercise Class' in the autumn.
