Day 7: A blink and you miss 2.5 hour journey by train and we were in Budapest. A lot has been said and written about the beauty of Budapest so was waiting to experience it on my own. It didn't take long to endorse the same the moment I witnessed the view from my hotel room , situated by the banks of Danube across the Elizabeth bridge . A visit to Schenzeyi baths was on top of my list and so we did immediately on reaching( difficult to get weekend tickets) soaking ourselves in the hot waters of this thermal bath which mesmerises you at every corner with beautiful architecture, the grand indoor and outdoor pools as well as the vibe . It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that you haven't really experienced Budapest if you haven't visited one of it's thermal baths. Just behind the baths is the most famous square of Budapest , Heroes square from where you can start your walk on the famous tree lined Andrassy Avenue , often compared to the Charles Elysee in Paris . The avenue ends at Elizabeth square , where we chilled by the ferris wheel for a while before heading back to the hotel. A much needed a nap and a stroll along the waterfront to catch some great sunset views before calling it a night.
