What if you never again accidentally sped up while you’re playing, forcing anyone singing along to stumble over their words? You may think this sounds too good to be true, but it IS possible - and we’re not going to be following the same boring advice of ‘Just play with a metronome’. (This advice is incomplete btw...) Yes - playing with a metronome is part of the puzzle, but it doesn’t give you the whole picture unless you use it the right way. That’s why the exercise in this video is perfect for learning: ► The cardinal sin of using a metronome (and how committing it can rob you of developing a rock-solid time-feel) ► The absolute most helpful way to use a metronome or drum machine to build an unbreakable, immovable groove ► The secret to developing your own sense of time (which makes it easier to play with any other musician you want) ► How you don’t always have to play strictly ‘metronomically’ to groove hard.
