Next on the list would be a problem with the Output Jack Assembly with an actual defect caused by stepping on the instrument cable while it is inserted in the Output jack and oxidation somewhere in the connections being the second leading contributor. A very small percentage of the time is there an actual defect with the preamp, I will go high here and say maybe 3 percent of the time. Many sellers do not possess a working knowledge of the Takamine equipment they are selling and simply send merchandise without examining the item being sold.
