Spring & Autumn A Musical Dialogue Between Greek & Chinese Poetry A unique musical presentation of Greek and Chinese poetry, at "Idiomelon- space for art”. Lyrical poets of antiquity have a profound dialogue with the classical poets of China, through their verses, concepts, values and mostly, through the refined look at the world, nature and human emotions. The ancient Greek Lyre sounds in harmony with the ancient Chinese instruments, the flute Xiao and the zither Guzheng. Poetry reading and poetry set to music are the ways to evoke the spirit of the meaningful verses of Homer, Sappho, Li Bai, Alkman, Wang Wei, as well as those from Shi Jing – the earliest book of poetry in China, and touch the hearts of the audience. The night will finish with a tea ceremony, the traditional Chinese way to serve and drink tea.
